Edward Murdstone is the main antagonist of the 1993 film version of David Copperfield. He is a slave-driver who takes away orphans and paupers on the streets and forces them to work on making cheese. He is associated with Grimby. His goal is to marry Clara Copperfield so he can make David Copperfield Jr. work like a slave and experience a hard life.
